Born and raised in Montreal, Jess moved here in her early teens. She has had an interest in the animal care field since she was a young girl, starting her first job as a kennel attendant when she was 13. Jess has worked along side us for many years and was our kennel attendant until the pandemic started. She officially joined our team in September 2021 as a Veterinary Assistant!
Jess has always had a passion for animals, specifically animal welfare. She graduated in 2015 from the Veterinary Assistant Program at St. Lawrence College and decided to expand her knowledge of animal cruelty and investigation. She proceeded to receive two additional diplomas, including Community and Justice Services, as well as Protection Security and Investigations. She hopes to one day become an Animal Cruelty Investigator.
In Jess’ spare time, you’ll catch her hanging out with family and friends, hiking, exploring, cleaning, organizing, and hanging out with her grandma who we all call Nan, her boyfriend Joshua, her sweet rescue Jack Russell named Mickey, and her spoiled senior feline named Boots!
Jess is compassionate, active, friendly, outgoing and spontaneous, and eager to assist you at the front desk or during appointments, especially with exotics! She is very happy to have joined our team and cannot wait to meet you!
